The Washington State Productivity Board administers public service recognition week every year during the first week of May.
Public Service Recognition Week, May 5-8, will include recognition events in Spokane, Vancouver, the Tri-Cities, Seattle and Olympia. WSU employees who have reached 40 years of service will receive a certificate from the secretary of state. Those employees are:
George Ball, Dallas Barnes, Steven Burkett, Hal Dengerink, Don A. Dillman, Jerry Gough, George Hinman, John Jorgensen, Michael J. Kallaher, Richard Kayser, Kathleen Thistle, Gerald E. Tripard, Kung-Chi Wang and William A. Webb.
The Seattle Mariners have designated May 2 as state employees day. Discounted $15 tickets will be held for employees through Wednesday, April 22. More information can be found

With the coupon below, state employees may buy as many as four $1 tickets to the WSU vs. University of Washington baseball game at noon Sunday, May 24, at Bailey-Brayton field in Pullman. This is the sixth consecutive year WSU athletics has co-sponsored the promotion.
